Ever had a job go sideways because of a simple misunderstanding? In this class, we’re breaking down the climbing & rigging components of the job AND the necessary teamwork for an efficient day in the trees.

  • From the Base & Into the Canopy: Learn to read the tree, select gear, and map out climbs for maximum efficiency. We'll discuss tie-in-points, MRS vs SRS, anchor differences, redirects & work flow.
  • The Slow Down, having to Lower it Down: “Bombing it out” is often the climber’s preferred & efficient method for getting tree debris to the ground, but it isn't always practical when there are high value targets or obstacles below.  We'll discuss building rigging plans as the climber & groundie, alternatives to some of the normal hum-drum of “tie-off, cut, tie-off, cut…”
  • On Comms: Tackle the "tough stuff"—communication. We all communicate in our own unique styles. Those differences can create tension, resentment, arguments that can turn physical, or we can build trust, respect & a cohesive work space. We’ll discuss different ways to communicate, what does & doesn't work for you, and dealing with everyone's favorite, the angry homeowner/ neighbor.

VERY IMPORTANT - TICKETING TERMS, CONDITIONS & REFUND POLICY

Because our classes have limited seating and require prep work, we adhere to the following schedule:

  • 7+ Days Before Class: Full refund or 100% transfer to a future class date.
  • 48 Hours to 7 Days Before Class: No cash refunds, but we can offer you a 100% store credit or allow you to transfer your ticket to a friend.
  • Less than 48 Hours / No-Shows: Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable at this stage, as we have already committed to materials and instructor costs.

If We Cancel: In the rare event that we have to cancel a class due to weather, instructor illness, or low enrollment, you will receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule immediately.
